"Clean room 21 thank you. Taps could be improved. Flush mechanism in toilet poor. Requires new fill valve to allow correct amount of water in to give a reliable flush. Not good for 2 days stay!"

"Staff were all really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, free room upgrade to a junior suite with a hot tub absolutely made our day. Spa is included and you can go in it at any time without having to book or pay extra and it’s open late at night. 11am check out which is great as a lot of places do 10am which we find really early. Really good food in the pub. Really relaxing stay. This is our second time here and we will return. "

"The check in was slow as no staff were about and had to wait for a while. However staff were welcoming and helpful and approachable. The room itself was basic but met the requirements for us. It was quite hot at night and the curtains didn’t do their job very well resulting in our daughter waking at 5.30am. The towels were of a reasonable standard but could do with being replaced. The room was facing onto a main road so traffic noise the next morning was noticeable and woke us up. Breakfast was limited but cooked breakfast was nice choice and came quickly and hot. "

"We have stayed at the Riverside hotel a few times. Not been for about 8 years but had a one night stay on the 9th May. It has been one of my favourite hotels but after staying this time the cleanliness has gone down hill. The family room No 3 was very dusty on skirting boards and dado rails and window sill was covered in flies. The shower room needed bleaching around the bottom of the shower. The lamp on the dressing table was extra dusty on top . These things can be put right if you got a good cleaner in. It has certainly put me off staying again. The breakfast was so nice & were the staff. A lovely clean bed but the lack of dusting in the room has let this hotel down. 😪"

"The hotel is a very short distance from the M6, which makes it an ideal stop over. The accommodation was really comfortable with lovely restaurant and bar facilities. We were made most welcome by all members of staff. Food was well prepared and nicely presented. Will definitely pass details of this place to family and friends."

"Absolutely fantastic. The bathroom was one of the best I have ever used fantastic shower and bath. New facilities. Truly exceptional. The food in the restaurant was great and the place itself is amazing. Highly recommended."
