"The structure has a ton of character and the hotel is very centrally located. However, I would expect a higher level of service from an establishment boasting a Michelin key. For example, when we vacated the rooms and had to store out luggage for a little while longer (as we still wanted to enjoy the city of Florence), they didn't have a safe deposit box for us to leave our passports and valuables at, and we had to carry them with us. This is a basic requirement from any reasonable hotel."

"We had an overall wonderful experience at Hotel Calimala. The rooms were gorgeous, and clean. The staff was friendly, and helpful . The rooftop bar was spectacular and we loved Nadini, the daytime manager, who was a lovely, impressive person. She added immensely to the wonderful experience we had. "Fanatstic bed and breakfast right in Florence’s city center! If you are looking for an intimate stay, I would highly recommend. If you are adverse to stairs or are older, a caution that you have to climb a few flights of stairs to get to your room. They are wide stairs and the staff is extremely helpful and helped us carry up our bags when we checked in."

"BB Florence View is a very nice property in the heart of Florence, this allows you walk most of the great places the city offers. Surrounded by great restaurants and shops. The property was very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. If you have heavy suitcases it has a small elevator. This building it’s from 1600 but it’s very well kept."
