"We've spent the past three anniversaries here & this will be our last.
We planned to relax in the jacuzzi our last night, but my husband instead walked in on a couple behaving inappropriately. He notified the front desk because their behavior was unacceptable, clearly unsanitary, & needed to be cleaned right away. We were later told the couple claimed they were "only swimming," which didn't reflect what was actually witnessed.
The following morning at checkout, I followed up with two front desk agents. There was no acknowledgment, no apology, & no concern. Just my bill handed to me & I was sent on my way.
I understand they may have been embarrassed since it wasn't their doing. Still, with my background in the hotel industry, I know how important guest experience & service recovery are. The complete lack of response especially for a returning guest, is unacceptable & is why we won't return."
