"The property was as good as it could be for being an older building and was well l-maintained. The outdoor seating area, just before entering the lobby was inviting and was a nice, welcoming, touch! Staff were fine. Rooms were clean and the balconies were nice. The breakfast was a basic continental breakfast (as advertised), but if you like bagels, packaged muffins and packaged eggs, cereal and yogurt you'll be good. The one negative is the coffee was not good (not strong enough) and there was no flavored creamer, so we had to try to doctor up the coffee with sugar and little creamers (didn't work). We booked this hotel for the pool, closemess to the beach and breakfast. Overall, it was a good stay and I recommend this hotel."

"Pros: The whole hotel and our room were quite clean, our room had a mini fridge and microwave, and there was complimentary coffee in the lobby. Cons: No indoor pool or hot tub, and though I reserved a double queen room, the beds in our room were doubles. "

"It had been updated, you can tell where it’s lacked. The carpet is disgusting. Our room floor was so dirty, our feet were filthy just walking. It smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. Wouldn’t stay again. The front staff is very nice however. "

"Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Canal side Inn. So did my furry companion Frankie, who was well greeted by the owners and other pets alike. Guests were equally friendly, those with 2 feet. The room was lovely for a single traveler and dog. It was especially nice being in a residential neighborhood with the canal right outside the doorstep, lovely scenery, easy walking distance to Rehoboth Beach Perfect four-day vacation to clear the mind with easy access to all that you would want in Rehobeth."
