"Friendly staff who were happy to help. Bar staff remembered people and their drinks. Variety of food selection on offer. Lots of sun loungers on offer although the hotel can block the sun occasionally. The room was fine, clean and spacious. Room and general internal areas of the hotel looked slightly old / outdated however no complaints. Only one issue was in the final morning before checking out, there was a fairly large leak coming from the ceiling above the shower, this didn’t affect me as I was preparing to leave and reception staff did apologise and arrange the maintenance crew to check."

"Staff are excellent; very friendly and attentive. I asked to change rooms a few nights in because the view wasn't great and they were really nice about it, changed me to a room on the other side of the hotel. The food is basic but of good quality, drinks are excellent. The lobby bar is a really nice spot in the evening. The rooms are spacious and clean, sure they're not super modern but theyre far from hideous. Only downside was the rooftop pool was closed for renovations. Hoping it looks super nice when I return!"

"If I could give 4.5 stars, I would. This hotel is excellent for a certain type of holiday. For myself and my husband, celebrating our babymoon, our requirements were a smaller, quiet, adults only hotel that had a nice pool, and was easy on the budget. We got a great deal for half board. The staff were kind enough to upgrade our room and we thought it was an excellent size and very comfortable, We enjoyed breakfast (especially the fresh orange juice) but the quality overall of the food wasn't amazing. A lot of processed food and tinned fruit for example. Dinner was okay, a good variety but a lot of foods were just so bland. It would be nice if the filtered water machine was available at dinner as it is at breakfast, but I suppose they want to make money on drinks. Lunch by the pool was a little pricey but of a better standard. Beers and coffee were cheap, but soft drinks, juices and smoothies were pricey. The local area. There is a small supermarket less than 5 minutes walk which was good to buy beers, soft drinks and snacks for the room. There's also a great mexican restaurant for lunch called El Chile Verde, again within walking distance, but the opening times are a bit weird so make sure to check. We found the walk down to town very easy even at 5 months pregnant, and a cheap taxi back up. Puerto de la Cruz is quiet and nothing extraordinary but nice for an afternoon. We knew this when booking. There isn't much else to do around the hotel. Where we thought the hotel c"

"We had a really enjoyable stay. The staff were lovely throughout, and our room was great, with the added bonus of a sea view. We also loved having access to so many pools, and never had any trouble finding a sun bed, even at busy times. The one letdown was the food. To be clear, we weren't expecting fine dining, just decent, straightforward food, but we ate lunch there twice and dinner once, and each time the quality felt below par (garlic pasta were swimming in oil etc.). It's a shame, as otherwise we'd have happily eaten at the hotel most nights and had lunch there more often. Overall, a lovely stay with the only let down being the food."

"Great option for budget Before mentioning any negatives, I want to start by saying the staff were amazing and highly professional. The person who greeted us was one of the best hotel staff members I’ve ever encountered and truly deserves recognition. It’s also worth noting that this is a 3-star budget hotel, so expectations should be set accordingly—you generally get what you pay for. The main building has great charm, being over 300 years old, which adds character to the stay. We booked a budget room (Room 104), which had a small courtyard but lacked any real views. One of the major concerns was the lack of air conditioning. Although units are present, they don’t work effectively. During summer, the island gets very hot, and the room often felt like an oven, which made it uncomfortable at times. The pool is small but serves its purpose well as a place to cool off. There is also a sun terrace with around 40 loungers, which is a nice touch. Breakfast was included, but as part of a budget offering, the hot food could have been better. It was often cold, and unfortunately, the plates provided didn’t fit in the microwave to reheat the food. The bathroom was missing sink plugs for both the sink and the bath, which was inconvenient. It would also have been a big improvement if the room had a fridge. On the positive side, the hotel is in a great location in a lovely town, ideal for those looking for a quieter holiday"
