Decepcionado!

Mal servicio. Al llegar la primera noche nos enviaron a otro hotel porque no tenían nuestra reservación. No tuvimos televisión por dos días porque la cuenta no se había pagado. Cada vez que pedíamos algo el recepcionista nos decía que teníamos que ir a otro hotel para cualquier cosa que necesitáramos porque nosotros habíamos hecho la reservación con el Encanto y ellos eran de El faro. Nos sentimos abandonados a nuestra suerte todo el tiempo que estuvimos, yo no lo recomiendo.

mala administracion

reservamos la estadia en el Faro y cuando llegamos nos trasladaron a otro condominio supuestamente de la misma administracion el Corto Maltes, y luego sucedio que de repente la administraciion y servicios se separan y nos dejan sin la logistica de servicios y limpieza sin que nadie nos avise. Una mala experiencia para unos dias de vacaciones

We waited 3 hours to check in !

The management went into some sort of receivership while we were there, they cut off the Internet, saying it was down but really it was because of what was happening with the financial side. They made us wait for 3 hours to check in past check in time as they had not checked their emails for our booking. When we complained they said it was not their fault as they only had 4 cleaners, we were not the only ones that this happened to. The morning that we checked out, reception and the restaurant had been locked up and we had to check out at a table on the side of the building.

Nice Stay!

The location can't be better - right on the beach and only one block from the famous 5th Ave in Playa del Carmen. We enjoyed walking on the beach and checking out other hotels and resorts, as well as eating at a nice restaurant on 5th Ave. Our apartment is very clean and modern. And you can have a fantastic view of the swimming pool and the ocean from the balcony. Sitting there eating breakfast or relaxing is unbeatable experience! The only thing is the beautifully designed swimming pool is close after 10pm and it's dark at night. It would have been great if they had put in more lights so that we can have a drink by the pool or something. The property next door has live music almost every night at their bar and restaurant. Since there is not much to do at our hotel at night so we went there some times to have drinks.

Nice place, close to everything

I would not call this place necessarily a hotel. It is more like an apart-hotel. Great location, the condo unit we got was pretty much just like pictures. Everything worked fine, and I would strongly recommend it for travelers who do not mind who are looking to have a condo experience. The property is very well kept, and the staff was nice and professional. Small units (1 bedroom like the one we had) face 10th street, which can be a bit noisy. In the morning you will hear the oxygen tanks being loaded from trucks to the pavement. However in the evening you can hear the live music from the restaurant next door.

One of the greatest stay!

Hotel was great on the beach. Staff was great and very helpful! Restaurants were nearby great food, great drinks the mixed drinks were the best at all the restaurants we went to! A bit pricey but worth every penny ! WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR FOR SURE NEXT YEAR!

Trato del personal.

Al llegar nos dieron una habitación sin vista al mar, lo que se veía era la calle; pedimos cambio y se nos dijo que no había disponibilidad (aun cuando era evidente que el hotel no estaba lleno), que esa era la habitación que rentamos, a lo que les contestamos que no, que nuestra reservación era con vista al mar, refirieron que a lo mejor en la agencia de viajes así lo tenían pero que estaba mal, que esa era la habitación que adquirimos; total que después de dos días de insistir nos cambiaron a otra habitación que al menos desde el balcón tenía vista parcial del mar, para lo cual intervino una dama que no está permanentemente en el lobby, sin saber si es dueña, gerente o encargada. Lo desagradable es que después de pedir el cambio de habitación, el personal del hotel nos atendía con desgano y evitaban saludarnos (por la ubicación de nuestra habitación, teníamos que pasar forzozamente por el lobby). Lo cual generó cierto mal sabor de boca en nosotros, por decirlo así. Otro asunto es que nos quitaron de unos camastros que están en la playa del hotel alegando que esos no eran del mismo, sino de un bar que se encuentra en un hotel de al lado; también, en los camastros de los que ya no nos quitaron, llegaron los de seguridad incomodando al preguntar si estamos hospedados en el hotel. Ya al final de nuestra estadía necesitabamos imprimir nuestros pases de abordar y otras cosas y ahora sí muy amables ellos nos los imprimieron y nos dieron datos para solventar nuestras necesidades.

Excelentes vacaciones

Excelente ubicación, una vista maravillosa hacia el mar, donde puedes disfrutarlo desde tu habitación y con una conexión increíble entre la alberca del hotel y la playa. Condiciones excelentes del mobiliario. Con mucha cercanía a las calles de Playa donde puedes salir a disfrutar del ambiente nocturno. Realmente la pasamos muy bien en familia y tenemos la intención de regresar. Nuestra única recomendación es que vean el tema de estacionamiento, ya que en nuestro caso no pudimos accesar al que cuentan y tuvimos que irnos a uno externo, que genera su costo y el tener que desplazarse.

We have stayed in this condo/ hotel three times now and we absolutely love it !! Very safe , very clean and the staff has been very accommodating . I love playa del carmen especially because of this condo !!!

Nice place by ocean

The place was nice but i dont feel welcome at all the first day we hot there i go to the frontdesk and he give me 2 key for the room 2 for towels nothing alse you need to figure the rest your self i pay for ocean view and i dint get it i call the frandesk and ask hem why. I dont get the one i pay for he said he dont have any more mayby tuesday but he never did so i was realy desapointed but the ocean was betifull Nice restaurants around the hotel

Luxury at reasonable prices

From the moment of our check-in, the staff was very attentive to our requests and needs (for minor problems). Our unit was exactly what we requested and the view was absolutely gorgeous from our balcony. Our AC unit was too good! A very nice pool is located seaside, in the middle of the complex. The grounds surrounding the pool were expertly manicured and provided privacy in sitting areas around the pool. There were plenty of chairs around the pool and on the beach. Poolside service was provided by Wicky's located within the complex (try the shrimp playa).

Nice condo-hotel room requires some maintenance.

This condo-hotel is located conveniently at the foot of the beach, with easy access to the famous Quinta Avenida strip. The hotel is generally in good condition. The room service was friendly. Our room, a three bedroom suite, was well furnished, comfortable beds and a kitchen with all the necessary cooking utensils. The only problems with the suite was the two of the air conditioner were not working: the one in the living room and the one on the second floor interior balcony. Fortunately, the A/C units inside the bedrooms all works. However, we needed to keep all of them on at all times and our door open to keep the rest of the condo cool. Also, some of the electronics did not work, or were damaged. For example, the living room mounted flat TV had some lines vertically across the screen. The television in one of the rooms did not have a cable box and so it did not have programing. The ipod compatible boom box was broken. Also, the lobby staff was supposed to provide us with a code to the room's safe, but never did. Despite these issues, the service on the beach was good. The beach and location was great; away from the fishing boats. The staff set-out beach loungers and umbrellas and provided towels to patrons. The pool is big and clean. We did not eat at the condo-hotel's restaurant, called Wicky's; however, we compared menus to restaurants on the strip and found Wicky's to be more expensive.

Excellent location

The location and facilities were great. The only caveat is that they reserve the right to give you a room at a sister property across the street (Corto Maltes) further away from the pool and next to a busy street. Various businesses have early morning deliveries ranging from soft drink trucks to oxygen diving tanks, too much noise as early as 6 am. The noise won't let you sleep late. The top property (Encanto El Faro) is quoted a higher price online, if you reserve there but end up at the Corto Maltes property you will not receive a refund for the difference-this happened to us. Therefore, unless you can get confirmation that you will stay at Encanto El Faro, DON'T pay the extra cost. The apartments were impeccably clean, spacious and comfortable. Location is great (Other than the busy street noise!) because you'll be two blocks away from the nightclubs and a few feet away from the beach. There are two restaurants on property, both equally good. Zensi has excellent live music EVERYDAY, ranging from reggae to top 40 and classic rock. Can't beat it. You're also two blocks from 5th avenue (Quinta Avenida), again, the location is great.

Hotel maravilhoso!!

A localização do hotel é perfeita, ao lado da Quinta Avenida e com uma praia a dez passos de distância. Os apartamentos são enormes e super confortáveis. A cozinha é super completa e cada quarto possui um banheiro privativo. O hotel perfeito para uma estadia maravilhosa em Playa del Carmem!!

Muy buenas vacaciones. . .

La limpieza en general buena, pero la cama muy incomoda y las sábanas con mal olor, después las cambiaron y estuvo mucho mejor. La recámara muy apretada, Un punto a su favor cuando dejé olvidado algo en la habitación y me la entregaron a través de un sobrino el día que salimos.

Pretty nice hotel close to the beach and 5th Avenue. Pretty nice restaurant to enjoy across the street.
