"The nice pictures of the property, along with the name, led me to think it is a pretty upscale place. The rooms don’t look like they have even been renovated or “dressed up.” I am used to showers with shampoo/conditioner/body way dispensers and this place had little squeeze tubes of them. The nice thing was the Angel Soft toilet paper!"

"Location!! This is the only place within Point Reyes NS where you can spend the night unless you have a tent. It's perfect for what it is. The Lodge is more hostel than hotel, and is a cluster of buildings with different levels of accommodation. Everything is perfectly comfortable, including the beds. They provide sheets, blankets (actually a warm comforter), towels, bath mat, face cloth, hand/shower soap, and a fully-stocked kitchen, including things like cooking oil, some spices, salt and pepper, coffee and tea (BYO white stuff). There is a huge refrigerator, bins to store your food, and every kind of pot, bowl, knives, and other cooking utensil. Otherwise, you must bring everything you want to eat unless you plan on going out for dinner--there are several places not far, though the road is winding and after hiking all day you may just want to stay in and microwave some frozen lasagne. Bathrooms are shared and very basic. The rooms can be a bit cold so bring warm jammies. Staff are lovely, but are only there from about 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. There are posted emergency numbers to use at other times. It's a very nice hostel. "

"First of all the staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was great. the hot tub was perfect. We also had a jetted tap in our room. You’re completely happy. We had a desk to do our work. I was just overall grand experience, especially for the price."

"The property is a bit dated, but it's centrally located. The room can be noisy because it's close to the freeway. The staff are super friendly. Parking is free. There are a bar and a restaurant onsite for convenience."
