I really liked being there in my full week holiday, clean hotel, my bedroom had a balcony with the most beautiful ocean view, Staff was great, and the breakfast was great as well.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel was clean, the receptionist was very friendly and provided great service. The room facilities were all in great condition, and everything was well maintained. The à la carte menu was also amazing, with really good food. Overall, a very pleasant stay and I’d happily come back.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, they even had gluten free bread options for me at breakfast and made me avocado toast on gluten free toast. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean and the pool and spa was clean and quiet.

The staff was incredibly friendly & helpful. They accommodated us for an earlier check-in. The rooms were clean and breakfast was great with both buffet and a la carte options.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Gaivota in Ponta Delgada. My room was spacious, bright and very quiet, which made it a perfect place to relax after a day exploring São Miguel. The kitchenette had everything I needed for a short stay. The breakfasts were exceptional, with a great choice and everything fresh and well presented. The room was always kept very clean, and all the hotel staff were polite, friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location is also excellent, right on the seafront and within easy walking distance of the centre of Ponta Delgada. I felt very comfortable here and would happily stay again. Highly recommended!

Hotel was in a great location, right across from the Marina. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The rooms were spacious and clean. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly and made out stay easier. If you have a car, street parking is very difficult to find. However, there is underground parking across the street which is convenient. Ask the hotel for a pass. We had a great stay and had time to enjoy the wellness centre. Highly recommend this hotel.

Having a kitchen in the room is helpful for cooking food bought from the grocery store just next to this hotel. With a balcony with no good view at all, room is kind of pricey. Bathroom is big but shower head has water pressure issue.

Ik kreeg bij het inchecken een upgrade naar een appartement met zeezicht wat ik zeer op prijs stelde. Appartement was ruim en voorzien van alle gemakken. Enig nadeel was wel dat het een beetje gehorig was; ik heb 1 nacht mijn buurman horen snurken. Hotel is gunstig gelegen aan de kust vlakbij het centrum en een supermarkt 1 deur verder. Bij ontbijt veel a la carte keuzes.

We stayed in a corner room on the top floor. The views were magnificent with a wrap around balcony to relax and enjoy the views. Rooms are always very clean. Staff is great and very friendly. This is my fourth year staying here and my fifth stay. Highly recommend The Gaivota.

Definitely consider this hotel! Solo traveler who liked the small 'apartment' style room I booked. One room was a kitchenette with table/tv/sofa and another was the bedroom with attached bath. I could cook or microwave food and store items in the refrigerator. The Hotel seemed relatively new or newly-renovated. Breakfast was provided and it was well staffed and offered a range of food and drink options. Nice location just a few blocks from the center of Ponta Delgada and a view of the Atlantic Ocean. I did not partake of the hotel's offered baths and pool, but many did. One downside is a tiny elevator so on occasion have to take the stairs to save time--five floors up for me--worked off a few calories.
