"We have stayed at the Barceló 4-5 times. The staff are amazing and the food has improved tremendously since post Pandemic.
I will say my husband and I are highly disappointed that the Barcelo no longer maintains the water features for the iguanas next to the buffet due to an ignorant guest that decided to hand feed an iguana, supposedly was bitten and then said they were going to sue the Barcelo. "Loved staying in a Tradewinds room. Having the lounge and our own area at the beach was a plus. We will stay here again. Very walkable to the other area hotels.
