"Breakfast was very good and in a lovely peaceful garden. Staff in the hotel were fantastic, really helpful even under pressure. It was horribly hot the weekend that we were there (unusual for Cardiff) but they did everything possible to make us comfortable with fans (no air-conditioning)."

"Room wasn’t cleaned so also no tea/coffee/water replaced. Called reception and replacements promised within 10 minutes - never arrived after an hour so had to re request. No clean cups or spoons. Two power cuts first night with no answer to an Expedia message. Hotel was extremely dated and it is never a 4 star room and the receptionists all lacked basic pleasantries/communication skills. Much prefer Llechwen Hall stays. Golf course looked nice though"

"Sadly I think when we went there were less staff than required and a few things were going wrong on that day. Our rooms were not ready as the linen hadn’t arrived - but gave us a free bottle of wine for dinner to compensate so happy with that. Next day but more of a major issue! "The hotel could be amazing but unfortunately it is now dated and needs to be refurbished. The standard twin room does not have an overhead shower and the room was dated and shabby. "If you are visiting Cardiff I highly recommend staying at the Park Plaza in Cardiff. Efficient and smooth check-in. Spacious comfortable rooms, with beds that are so comfortable, sleep is no problem at all! Peaceful too.
