"The property itself was great and we enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, it was overshadowed by being without hot water for more than 24 hours. I understand that maintenance issues totally happen, but the biggest issue was the lack of listening and communication. I went to the front desk several times throughout the day and was repeatedly asked by the same staff member who I was and what my issue was. Each time, before I could finish explaining my concerns, I was interrupted and told that a conference room was available for guests to shower. While I appreciated that option, I wasn't asking where we could shower. I was trying to find out when the issue would be fixed or whether we would be moved to another room. Multiple times I was told someone would call me with an update, but that never happened. Around 5:30 p.m. I was told a technician would arrive between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. and that I would receive a call. When I followed up later, I was told the timeline had changed to between 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. and that I would again receive a call. No updates were ever provided. When I returned around midnight, I was told a technician had arrived around 11:00 p.m. but had been sent away. The next morning we took cold showers and as we were packing up, a technician arrived and fixed the issue. The hotel did provide complimentary parking, which was appreciated, but given the length of the outage and the lack of communication, I felt more should have been done to address the situation."
