"The hotel is right on the main road through Nanaimo and I first thought it might be too noisy but it wasn't. The room is well constructed to provide a nice nights sleep. Pictures in the ad are accurate. If you travel with a dog there is a nice enclosed back area for exercise."

"We were told the room was newly renovated. You could see outside around the door which did not feel very secure."

"The front desk persons were always helpful, especially getting me water and ice; never gone to a hotel where getting water was so difficult, none even in the room fridge. The elevator makes you feel very fat, it creaks and moans every time you use it, makes you wonder when they’ve had it last serviced. The restaurant was constantly closed and lights off do to not enough business or staff. It always amazes me when businesses blame economy for bad times but, at the same time, how is it Cactus...
