The location is excellent - easy walking in downtown Providence. The staff are great and the rooms are clean and maintained. My only quibble is the "city view" room on the second floor provided not much of a view. Also, there is a small table in the room, but no chair (an uncomfortable bench too ...

Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel
Providence Mall and numerous restaurants within 5 min walk. Hotel also has restaurant but we didn't utilize. Hotel clean, all staff encountered were friendly and helpful. Was our first stay but will definitely go back.

Hotel Providence
The hotel was dingy looking, the room had paint peeling and the shower/tub was hard to use due to poor maintenance. Multiple lights were broken.
