Staff was fantastic—welcoming from the moment you arrive, and you’re handed a drink right at check-in. Excursions were great; book with Wendy for a good deal. The pool was right across from my room and the beach was just a short walk away, which was very convenient.
The room was beautiful, but the A/C vents were extremely dusty and appeared not to have been cleaned in months. By day 4, I developed a runny nose and cough. The gym was okay, but I would’ve preferred 24-hour access and more space.
Food was hit or miss. The snack bar and the à la carte Mexican restaurant were great, but the other restaurants were only okay and we experienced food poisoning.
Important note: If you’re 21+ and don’t speak Spanish fluently, avoid the clubs. The DJ plays mostly Spanish music and staff gets annoyed when anything else is requested. Also, skip the disco lounge unless you’re okay with heavy cigar/hookah smells.
Good location and amazing staff, but cleanliness, food, and nightlife need improvement.
