The resort is beautiful and clean. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming to all guest. The pool areas are always clean. Love the “adult only” and family pool; allows everyone to enjoy thier distinct space.

DO NOT fall for this scam. They steal your hard earned money with false advertisement and lies. They claim to be "all-inclusive" with dozens of restaurants "based on availability". What they don't tell you is that depending on your booking (price paid) and status (whether you were naive enough to buy one of their timeshares), they have a behind the scenes coding of how many restaurants nights you can reserve. It isn't based on availability, it's a bait and switch. Nowhere within your reservation do they transparently represent this. Good luck - worst Caribbean resort ever!!!

Pictures shown are from several properties that you have access to. You have to take a trolley to the best pools and beach. Everything is going up and down stairs, to go eat, the pool the bars, especially the beach. If you are old or have bad knees you avoid this place

My experience with this resort was horrible. While the serving and maintenance-staff was very attentive and professional. I arrived and was told that my reservation had been switched to their low budget resort. I spoke to multiple people and explained that I booked my reservation with tropical beach resort not with cofresi . The staff ignored me and insisted that it was the same because they were all under the same chain a.k.a. lifestyle. Well, I would like to assure you that it was not. Cofresi is a rundown resort with outdated and dirty rooms. I spent a good part of 24 hours of my 72 hour reservation going back-and-forth with them and telling them that I did not want to be at Cofresi. After 24 hours of going back-and-forth with them they finally switched us to the tropical beach resort. The rooms were clean, but the TV didn’t work the plumbing wasn’t all that great and after spending a day of pleading my case for something that I paid full price for and I didn’t receive I was exhausted and couldn’t really even enjoy myself. The property is beautiful. The views are spectacular, but the resort is not well maintained. This was my first time booking with this resort and it will be my last. My overall experience was terrible moving forward. I will just book with the resorts that I am used to here on the island.

There was an issue with check in and they moved rooms around without communication to our party prior too so the other 2 groups that booked at the same time were all on different sides of resort. Food at buffet and dominican restaurant and selection was great. The reservation process for the restaurants is inconvenient and unaccommodating. The rooms on the Tropical side need to be renovated. The showers you have to hold the handle or the water spills out of shower. large gap our front door. The bars only serve limited menu. The VIP beach bar was great ! Service was great and was a fun environment. parade and foam party were great on tropical side . on confresi side - pool needed to be cleaned and swim up bar under caves that was advertised was closed and seemed as if it was not used in a while. This resort bands the members with colored bands and members are treated differently based on how they are tagged by your booking . if you are not a memeber “no “ is often heard including the only place for the kids to get ice cream in harmony beach. ( mape said all guests) resort staff said no. overall had a good time due to the company. will not book at this resort again. Surprised that this is an expedia choice. Resort is made more for memberships / timeshares if you want decent service. Icing on the cake.i don’t bring jewelry on trips. I had one necklace that was with my toiletries that I took off when I went to the pool and it was taken from my room. very obvious

Overall our stay was ok other than the need to do request upgrades on rooms and furniture. The incorrect rooms were provided at time of check in resulting in furniture arrangements. Also the bed was to old and uncomfortable in all 3 rooms we booked, tv didn’t work and we called for assistance and nobody came to fix it. Food was excellent. Lastly the Bar Tender at the pool bar would always demand tips, making comments like “ you have been here for 3 days now no tips”. Again overall the stay was ok, resort, pools beach all beautiful but truly expected a better stay especially since this was our first time at this resort.

No WiFi available, towels were very old and in poor conditions, most of the staff were not friendly. I really hate to write a terrible review, but I have been in a lot of different resorts throughout country, this one has to rank as the worst in the area.

It's a timeshare property, so expect to be constantly hounded to take a tour. The resort is many resorts and condos combined so there is lots of walking and tons of stairs so it is not suitable for handicapped or older guests. The claim of the multitude of bars and restaurants is deceiving. More than half are for timeshare owners only, and they get preference for all restaurant reservations even if you are in line when the concierge opens. Expect to eat at the buffet or at 9 pm. Liquor is well brands only and very weak. Property is poorly maintained with broken toilets, hot tubs and fixtures everywhere. Sand is dark and most beaches are reserved for owners only. The highlight was the peacocks. The town of Puerto Plata is also run down. Opt for Punta Cana instead. Resorts and beaches there are far superior.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Our room wasn’t ready at check in time, in fact it wasn’t ready until 6:30pm. There was no availability for reservation

J’ai adoré mon séjour de 10 jours à cet endroit. Le personnnel est chaleureux et là pour aider en cas de besoin. Les lieux sont propres, les chambres aussi, les piscines sont nettoyées chaque matin. Ce sont les clients de l'hôtel qui ne se ramassent pas et laissent traîner leurs mégots dans le sable, les verres d’alcool laissés n'importe où et même des assietes. Il y a des activités et spectacles chaque jour donc on ne s'ennuie pas et aussi des excursions payantes à faire. Les prix sont raisonnables. J’y retournerais n'importe quand!

We got dropped off at the lifestyle Tropical lobby and we got told there were no room for us and they deceived us saying we got an upgrade to The Cofresi. Well that was a lie of course. We had yo wait for transportation for cofresi lobby, we got checked in and the rooms were a downgrade to say the least. Two days into vacation rooms on 1st flr got floded it took over 2 hrs to clear the water out. 3rd day one room had plumbing issues and 4th day the ceiling paint of my moms rooms created a giant bubble with the rain water, it was reported and instead of putting her to a dif room, they popped the buble and moped the floor. So when she went back, we notced all the mold the was underneath the paint. Why we got a reservation for the Tropical if they didnt have enough rooms? I didnot get ehat i paid for. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

The room was huge and the property was beautiful. Jennifer in guest services made the whole experience better. She booked me dinner reservations every night and made sure I had everything I needed. Her and Anel made life easy! If you want a better experience, ask for them directly

Great overall stay. Couple minor issues with the room, bed was rock solid and hard to sleep on and few cocroaches in the room throughout the week. Other than that great experience, will be coming back again for sure !
