We LOVED this resort. We stayed in the 18 club area. Everything was amazing. The resort is beautiful, gardeners do a great job working all day in the heat to keep the property pristine. The beach is amazing. There was some seaweed but we walked down the beach to swim and there was plenty of clear areas. It rotates, some days our area of the beach is clear and some days further down has more seaweed. They tried their best to clean it up daily. No large rocks, all sand. The chlorine pools are massive and nice. There is a large amount of beach chairs and cabanas. You never had to worry about getting a good spot. The food is good (besides the main indoor buffet, terrible). The maids that clean your room everyday are honestly some of the best, we always came back to an expertly cleaned room. Mini bar was always stocked. The bar tenders are really friendly and generous. Our butler Javier was always a WhatsApp message away.
Cons: the beach towels are SMALL and they are strict with giving out 2 (or number of people in the room). If you are sensitive to fly bites, bring fly spray. I didn’t see any flies, but I did get bitten quite a few times. The rooms are slightly dated, but are decent. There was a slight musty smell.
My husband did want to mention his cons: NO NHL playoff hockey on any TVs including at the sports bar. There is no handle on the outside of the patio door, making it hard to open.
We don’t usually book a resort twice, but we will be returning to this one!
