This was a much needed vacation for us and we did enjoy it. A couple of things which were not so great was our day of arrival. It took much too long to get our luggage delivered to the room. Hindsight: we should have insisted on taking it ourselves. The check in procedure required filling in a bunch of paperwork. This could’ve been pre-filled with the information on hand by the hotel. Then there was the sales pitch by H10 hotels to buy into a points program of sorts, which started before breakfast and ended after breakfast. Too long, a bit like going to a used car lot. Also, when asking for a princely sum of money, make sure the environment is set for that. Do not have 20 sales staff hanging around, turn down the music, so a conversation can be had and offer some water or coffee, etc. The “beach” is disappointing. It’s kept very clean and one will find loads of plastic waste wash onshore immediately on the property line. There’s a little cove on the north side, which has a very nice sandy beach, but also buried garbage patches about 20 meters inshore, with a garbage dump just behind a little burm a bit further onshore. Nevertheless we did enjoy the waves and a bit of snorkelling. Bring watershoes because the occasional stones are very sharp. The lazy river was fun, though on the last day was not cleaned of debris from the day before and the water was appearing cloudy. The staff is friendly and working very hard. More to say, ran out of room

My family and I had an amazing experience at Ocean El Faro, largely thanks to Miguel Garrido. He was incredibly helpful in booking all our restaurant reservations and kept in touch daily via WhatsApp to make sure we had everything we needed. He even went out of his way to surprise my daughter for her birthday with a cake and a serenade from the staff all complimentary! It was the highlight of our trip. Miguel's service was top-notch. Highly recommended!

Property was beautiful, large resort that never felt crowded, room were modern and spacious but could use a little TLC, staff were polite but not overly hospitable, minus a few who went over and above! Concierge service was very helpful in booking reservations, questions - shout out to Jose! He was AMAZING!! Food was okay, not spectacular, but too be expected at a resort. Lots of variety of restaurants to choose from. Beach is rough, but beautiful nevertheless! Also great for families!

Food was good and staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the lazy river and beach. Lots of activities for the kids. Not a ton of restaurant options and reservations must be made day of which made planning with a family hard. The room smelt very musky and the entire resort looked like it was a rushed renovation. The service was quite slow and we didn’t feel like a priority at any point. Overall satisfied with our stay.

My family loved Ocean El Faro. Our concierge Miguel Garrido was a great host/guide. He arranged all our dinners and he helped us check out promptly. We enjoyed eating at the burger bar. The kids loved the splash pad. The beach and the lazy river. They enjoyed dancing in the sqaure every night. We had a wonderful experience.

This is MY opinion ONLY!!! This resort needs to spend money and upgrade the beach front! Don't get sucked into upgrades and time shares or whatever they are selling. Very annoying!

I loved the fact that the property was not too big, yet offered many restaurants and amenities. We loved the pools, the lazy river, and the swim up bars. You could also be on the ocean and swim in the protected part that was just left adjacent to the property. The main building, which had a bar and a piano bar, was very pleasant to sit in. I really enjoyed the tile fish and flora that decorated it and the butterfly collection. All the restaurants were nicely decorated as well. If you don’t have children, I recommend that you stay in the adult section. It has lovely pools. There were numerous activities you could involve yourself in, but I just wanted to swim and relax. The weather was perfect the last week of February.

We got lock up of hour room since we got there, the key for our room never worked, had to be walking back and forward between the room and the lobby, we didn’t enjoy our stay AT ALL, the staff solved our issue last minute when we were almost living and tried to ask for a refund for the days we couldn’t enjoy because we were literally the whole day at the lobby to find somebody to fix our issue, they never paid attention to us, they preferred to give priority to the ones that were doing check in instead of taking care of the ones that are there EXPENDING THEIR MONEY already, total caos.

I had a wonderful stay at Ocean El Faro. The rooms are spacious, and if you’re lucky enough to get one with the swing on the balcony, it’s such a nice added touch. Hector, our concierge, was excellent. He checked in on us regularly without ever being pushy, made sure all our restaurant reservations were booked, and even helped make sure my birthday was celebrated, which I really appreciated. The resort itself is clean, modern, and well maintained. There are great food options, and as a vegetarian I was pleasantly surprised by the variety available. The only downside during our stay was the beach. It was still beautiful, but the water was quite rough during the time we visited. That said, the resort itself definitely makes up for it with everything it offers. Overall, a great resort with great service. I would definitely recommend it.

Miguel Garrido was an outstanding tour guide and truly made the entire experience unforgettable. From the start, he was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared about making sure every guest had the best possible time. Miguel went above and beyond to make the tour special. He took the time to answer every question, shared interesting details and stories, and made sure everyone in the group felt included and comfortable. His enthusiasm and passion for what he does really showed throughout the entire experience. It’s rare to find someone who puts so much effort into making sure guests are happy, but Miguel absolutely did. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made the tour not just informative, but truly enjoyable. Thanks to him, the whole experience felt personal and memorable. If you ever get the chance to take a tour with Miguel Garrido, I highly recommend it. He’s a fantastic guide who clearly loves what he does, and he works hard to make sure every guest leaves with a great experience.

Our family had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying all the amenities at the property. Miguel Garrido was absolutely fantastic!! He took care of our concierge needs and made sure we had a wonderful time during our stay. Juan Carlos at the pool bar was also great! We highly recommend this reaort. The lazy river was so fun and Sakura was our favorite restaurant and we highly recommend!

The resort was beautiful and well maintained overall, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our concierge Carlos Enrique was excellent with coordinating dinner reservations and answering any questions we had. The rooms were very nice and kept clean. We stayed for the afternoon after checking out on the last day, and showers were available to reserve for the end of the day so we were able to swim and fully enjoy our last day there.

Nous etions en chambre loft avec spa on the loof batisse 7 . Le spa n est pas fonctionnel mais on avait acces a 2 patios vue minime.sur la mer mais tres bien situe entre la plage et les restaurants. Service nourriture super . Experience en famille avec une cocotte de 4 ans .
