"I stayed in Clayton Hotel, the exterior of the building is historic, but the inside is very modern and maintained well. I took one star off on service as the staffs at the buffet restaurant are kind of impatient, I waited 45 minutes for my omelette, after all. Think they are understaffed at the restaurant. "Hotel Casa Amsterdam was perfect! Outside of Central Amsterdam but a quick trip on the Metro to Amstrel Station which is bus, train and tram. From the station it is a quick 5 minute walk! Steps from a trail on the canal, 5 min walk to the grocery store, 10 minute walk to the best sorbetto I have ever had!, many cafes and restaurants including in house at the hotel with roof top patio option!
