"Absolutely lovely hotel in amazing position "

"We enjoyed very much staying in this hotel. I cannot find any negative comments ranging from.staff services and the property. All excellent. "

"I chose this hotel for three reasons, it was in the old town, it had a shuttle to the Canton fair, and the rooms had kitchens. I was staying for a long time and I wanted to be able to cook for myself. When I got to the room, it had a kitchen with a nice dishwasher, but nothing to cook with or eat with so there’s no point to they’re being a kitchen. It isn’t a nice location with an old town. And it has a nice view of the river. It’s a building is in serious need of a renovation. Everything was worn down. The buffet is not very good and so I stopped eating at it and just went out and got food. The shuttle truck an hour and 15 minutes to get to the fair. It took half the time to take the metro so that’s what I started doing though the room needed to be renovated or refurbished. It was clean. I had a problem with my remote control for the TV working, not working. I told the front desk but they never did anything about it. Also, I had a no smoking room, but the people in the rooms next to me must’ve been smoking cause my room always smell like smoke. I changed rooms twice and they all have the same problems if I had time I would’ve changed hotels"

"They say Free shuttle between hotel and Exhibition Center during Canton Fair - there is only 2 shuttle they provide in the morning thats it . If you go to breakfast around 9am you won't get Juice, Eggs, Jam and many others things and when you ask they will say its finished Its totally unacceptable you pay for breakfast and you won't get proper breakfast"

"The room was very clean and the front desk staff were very friendly. Check in/out was very fast and efficient. We were there in May and the weather is hot/humid, the air conditioning is very strong and cold, that made us very comfy in the room. The location is very close to subway station - Huangsha Station, the entrance is next to the hotel, very convenient. We did not use vpn and therefore most of the sites were blocked which is expected, other than that, everything was good during our stay."

"This place was horrible. It is a very old building and quite run down which I usually don't mind but this place actually stunk like a sewer. The lobby even smelled worse the closer you got to the counter. We arrived early in the afternoon and the smell hit us as soon as we walked in. It was old and run down but the smell was more like fecies or a sewer and we could barely stand it. I stayed with the bags holding my nose whilst my 2 travel partners went with the staff to check the rooms. They came back down after not long and said the rooms were awful so we politely decided to leave. We jumped back on wotif.com and found a way better place for not much more a few kilometers away so we jumped on the app, cancelled the reservation and left. Later I found out that the staff at the stinky hotel reported us as a no show so they could deny our cancelation and we had to pay for hotel in full. I'm still fighting to get my refund but they are lying and stating that we never even showed up so to avoid a similar situation I would steer clear of this wreck of a hotel all together. Im not that fussy and we were only looking for somewhere to sleep so I am happy to accept something that's not fancy but this place was discusting. "
