"This beautiful community had much to offer with free parking as well as a buffet breakfast. Staff was excellent. A large swimming pool and pickleball courts, and the ability to take walks all around the large lake filled with gardens was ultra/desirable. Playgrounds for the kids looked nice. A great space for conferences or time with family or friends. Numerous wedding venues throughout. Several choices to eat on the property and many other restaurants nearby"

"I've stayed twice in a month.... it's perfect. It's an old roadside motel - but the owners have done a great job with the place. It was clean and comfortable and a nice chair outside of my door."

"The rooms was very clean, but did see 2 roaches in our bathroom! The guys at the hotel was very nice, the younger lady was lil rude! They ended up letting us swim in the pool !! Bed lil hard, pillows was flat !!!"

"Facility is old but serious efforts have been made to update. New dropped ceilings, fairly new furnishings, new paint, quaint etc. Very clean and comfortable. I had very limited contact with staff, but that was pleasant. There was some road noise but not terrible. Spacious parking was at the room entry. Some of the room photos are misleading. Be sure to designate whether you was street front or creek side. Also be prepared for a 3% credit card charge. The most serious negative was the high step...

"Great location, very clean and comfortable! Friendly and welcoming staff, from the front desk to housekeeping. Even on a holiday weekend it was family friendly and quiet. Coffee at the free continental breakfast was surprisingly decent! However for the caffeine snobs, would recommend a quick drive to historic Hazelwood for Beach Mountain Diner and the coffee roasters cafe across the street."

"This place is a gem! Our definite go-to place when I come to say in Western NC. Everything you would want in a cabin is here - as long as you don’t mind the outdoor propane fire pit in place of a messy indoor wood burning fireplace. I wish I could tell everybody this place sucks, so I can can scare people away and I will always have a room available 😝"
