"You have got to be kidding! I booked this hotel for an overnight layover near Heathrow becuase it looked cute in the pictures. It's incredible. Built in 1106, it oozes history and charm. You are basically staying upstairs above a lively pub. Such great fish and chips and steak and Guiness pie! Also there is a bus line across the street that runs right into Heathrow terminal 5. That said- it is an old historical building so if you're interested in modern business stuff, it might not be for you."

"Clean room but in need of refurbishing. Very hot during our visit so appreciated the fan but would have been more comfortable if the windows had opened fully. Good shower pressure and plenty of hot water but shower control face missing. Staff were lovely, very polite and helpful. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold offerings."

"I would advise other travellers to be cautious, especially if arriving late or making a last-minute booking. I should also mention that I was told I would not be offered breakfast because I had booked last minute or arrived late. My experience with the reception staff made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Regardless of the price paid for a room, every guest should be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not stay here again."

"Lovely dinner and staff. Breakfast is sent service continental style, so no cooked options which was a shame after the dinner. It's a 14th century pub, so lots of character and in a small village."

"This boutique hotel was absolutely delightful; truly the coolest one we’ve ever stayed in. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and despite the pub on the first floor, the rooms were perfectly soundproof. The amenities went above and beyond, with bottled water, complimentary tea and coffee, and biscuits in the room. "There was no one the front desk and the only number they gave was unable to take calls! We were badly stranded after a exhausting journey. After a long wait, had no choice but to search for another hotel. The staff on duty never responded to our messages through Expedia forum. Will avoid this place for all times ahead!"
