"Lovely old pub to stay at. Plenty of parking. We were there Sunday night and they have limited menu for food (roasts, fish and chips or a burger) but what we had was really good. Shout out to Jill who seemed to be every where. Dealing with check in, serving behind the bar, taking orders at the table and delivering food to tables!!! Amazing!! And to top it off a really good breakfast to see you off. Highly recommended"

"I stayed at this for a few days of peace and quiet and not sure I could find a better place. The whole establishment was clean and a nice balance between retro and modern, which made it homely but also very comfortable. I stayed in one of the top floor rooms with new Veluxes, a shower with excellent hot water and comfortable towels. Breakfasts are delicious and well worth the price inclusion, and any issues I had were quickly sorted by the staff. If you're thinking of staying here, you can't go...

Our room was clean and well maintained and whilst the bathroom was clean and functional it would have benefited from being renovated. That said, there was nothing seriously wrong with it. "We had a great one night stay at Berwick Lodge on a a Monday to celebrate a birthday. The sun shone and the Housemartins flew happily around whilst we sat on the terrace having a cocktail. The à la carte menu was fantastic - well worth the cost and breakfast was very tasty. Will definitely stay again in one of the other fantastic looking rooms."

"The staff were very friendly and the location was great! We visited during an extreme heat wave and unfortunately it was uncomfortable sleeping. The staff provided a room fan when we requested, but unfortunately the 2nd floor was an oven. This is no fault of the staff or property, it was just an anomaly of the weather."
