"Everything was exceptional. The hospitality from Graham and Sheena was second to none. We got lost our first night out and after a quick call, Graham got us back on track and was actually on his way out to find us when we turned up the drive! That is the level of hospitality provided. "To begin with, staff was very helpful and accommodating. The location was right across the beach, was lucky to be there when the heatwave hit, so the location was great for me. The room (no 5) was cosy, had a fan and a fridge and both have been welcomed. Nice toiletries, from my favourite brand. The room was clean, bed was somewhat comfortable, I like hard mattresses. 😅 The room got quite hot when outside were 29 degrees, but the fan did its job. "Very friendly staff. We had a 4-flight walk-up but was very safe and easy to access. Our corner room was spacious and comfortable. The premises and room were very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very large. We enjoyed our stay here and recommend the Aberlour."

"The room was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was delicious! For some reason, many of the places we stayed (including this one) did not provide conditioner. Not a huge deal, but thought I’d note for future guests. It is a cute small town and convenient to hiking destinations. Also note there is not central air and the windows do not open more than a few inches, so on hot days, the room gets very stuffy. Not the fault of the hotel, though!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Mansion House. It is within walking distance of all the sites in Elgin plus has very accessible parking. The surrounding walks and neighboring river made me feel like a character in a Jane Austin novel. Iona, Billy and all the staff made us feel like family. We even learned how to play snooker. Breakfast couldn’t have been better or more convenient. Will definitely try to return every time we go to Scotland!!!"

"It was a strange smell between our room and the restaurant area where we had to pass through our bags! The staff are fairly helpful. The location was lovely, but unfortunately the shower in our room didn’t work very well."

"We didn't see a soul. Check in was using a safe box to collect the key. Check out was dropping the key into a safe box. Room was clean and pleasant though and we had everything we needed."

"Hotel room was modern and clean can’t fault, breakfast on the other hand was not so good , £12 for a fry up….pricey and not good, the fried egg was burnt the potato scone was like rubber and the haggis was all mush, came on a rectangle plate not round or square, not fit for purpose, whoever the cook is needs to learn how to fry an egg. I would stay at the hotel again and go for breakfast somewhere else."

"Such a beautiful house, and our room was fantastic. We stayed one night and the breakfast was delicious. No problem parking; the grounds were well kept. Jodi welcomed us, and even helped with dinner reservations. I loved the bathrobe touch, and the room was super cute. The price was a bit high, but we only stayed one night, so no discount for multiple nights . We really liked our short stay, and how close it was to walking to a restaurant."
