The staff really make this place. Everybody was super friendly and helpful. The property is a bit dated, but the rooms are clean. The onsite restaurant was good for ala carte, but the buffets are expensive and ordinary.

The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium
We loved our stay here. The staff were great. We spent our days snorkeling on the beach and enjoyed the nightly entertainers. Highly recommend the island night as well. Delicious buffet, and excellent performers.

My wife and I came here for our Honeymoon and boy was this a rude awakening. The 'King Bed' was just two (extremely old) full mattresses pushed together. The Islander Hotel
A weird set up. Looks like an old motel was closed in. Anyhow, room big and clean, if dated and a bit worn. There is noise from bar area until 11 pm. They are very clear about that, but not really a problem. Pool is pretty much unusable for adults as it is essentially in the middle of the restaurant. ...
