Hotel Saint Georges Lafayette

"Fantastic location. We had a room in the back which was extremely quiet. The hotel has been recently painted so there was a faint smell of paint in the room and it meant that the door kept getting stuck so it was really hard to open/close. The bed was very comfy and the aircon worked well (which is rare for Paris!) despite the limitation of 19 degrees. Unfortunately, it did make a very loud buzzing noise every now and then but given the heat outside we were happy to put up with it. Staff were always helpful and kept our bags after check out because of a later flight. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment, but there was a very nice wine bar serving food right in front of it which we went to daily after it opened at 6pm. Would definitely stay again!"

"The hotel is in a great location. We stayed 9 nights, the staff were so kind and helpful. We needed to get a taxi to the airport, they were able to get us the transportation so much more quicker and easier than booking one ourselves. The hotel had air conditioning which was a wonderful on the hottest days this summer in Paris. We loved that there were so many cafe’s and bakeries nearby. It is walking distance to all the sites to visit, the closest being the louvre and Notre Dame, about a 10-15 minute walk. The train station is a close distance, if you need to visit other areas. We walked to many sites. They took a little longer to walk to but it allowed you to see the city of Paris. Would absolutely stay at this hotel again."

"Although the room was small which is typical for European hotels, the bathroom was a nice size and the AC worked perfectly during the heat wave. The front desk was very helpful whether helping you find transportation, suggesting a meal, or just having a friendly conversation. They all spoke some English which helped with communication barriers. The snacks/drinks in the afternoon/evening were a nice bonus! Located in the heart of town so most things were within walking distance."

"I booked this hotel for one night while visiting friends in Paris, partly for nostalgia, as I used to live near Le Marais. I ended up really enjoying my stay and wish I had stayed longer. The hotel is much larger than it appears from the outside, with a beautiful interior courtyard that feels like a little oasis in the middle of Paris. It was lovely to sit there, have a cocktail, and enjoy the atmosphere. The location is excellent, especially if you want to be close to Le Marais and easily explore the city. The check-in staff were very helpful, friendly, and professional, and spoke excellent English as well as French. My room was a little dated in style, but it was comfortable, spacious for a Paris hotel, well air-conditioned, easy to access, and had great water pressure. The on-site restaurant is nice, though the bar service seemed a bit overwhelmed at times during normal service. If you want a quick drink, the brasserie next door may be easier. That said, this was not a deal-breaker at all. Unfortunately, the hotel experienced a power outage when I returned from exploring the city, just as I was checking out. However, I want to specifically commend the staff and management. They handled a stressful situation with kindness and professionalism, brought out water during the heat wave, helped guests check in and out, and did their best to manage the disruption calmly. Overall, this is a wonderful property with great service, a fantastic location, and a memorable atmosphere"

"Very helpful staff my wife's accessible needs were well taken care of thumbs up 👍 only problem was shower floor very slippery only minus I can give this hotel. Very close to dining and shopping. Close to many sites and entertainment would stay there again"
