"This accommodation is excellent. It is a converted boat which was built in 1839 and used as a floating lighthouse off the east coast of England. The owners are polite and helpful and are on site."

"The staff were very helpful, going above the call of duty.Breakfast was cooked well and according to ones taste. The shower was clean and good. Parking is off road and was easily available.On one occasion we had to park in paid parking just round the corner, which is plentiful. The building is well maintained. Communication was good"

"Enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately we could only get luke warm water in the bathroom. First day only one coffee machine was working so quite a long queue. The other machine was fixed the next day.."

"I enjoyed staying here, but found out they don’t have laundry facilities on site. They offer to send out laundry on specific days to send out then return on a following day. If you need this service I recommend asking at time of check-in."

"Carpet in the room had a musky odor. Floor fan too loud for anyone to stay in the room and there's no air conditioning in any of the rooms, or so we were told. Otherwise clean environment and good breakfast variety."

"Lovely characterful property. Friendly staff and very polite, Room was good, huge bathroom and very clean, robes and towels supplied. We did use the pool which was lovely. There is nothing lift so be careful if a bit unsteady on your legs as lots of steps and stairs around."

"The property was in a fairytale house in a magical location. All the little extra touches - such as bathrobes and slippers. daily complimentary water, chocolate etc - were truly the icing on the cake. The staff showed a real pride in working at the Castle and truly helped to set the atmosphere. Check-in and out were brilliant. The restaurant was superb with a jaw-dropping view of the Castle and sumptuous breakfast. If you think I seem enthusiastic it is because I am!"

"Great village pub in a quiet village, rooms are great and have everything you need - nice touch of breakfast cereals, milk, yogurts and fruit for breakfast. Staff are all very helpful. The pub has an excellent food menu with lots of choices, we had our evening meal here. A great nights stay before we headed for Le Shuttle which was only 40 minutes away, an ideal stopover to start our trip."

"The Holiday Inn had everything we needed for a one-night stay near Southend. The staff were great, room was very clean and overall, the Hotel had a relaxed, friendly vibe about it. I would definitely stay there again when visiting the area."

"Seven was very well located on the top of the cliff overlooking the pier and close to the cliff lift. It had a private car park at the back. Check in was fine and the staff were helpful and polite. The room was clean and tidy and well equipped. Our room had plenty of hanging space but no drawers or useful shelves for clothes. Tea and coffee provided. My only comment would be the bathroom door opened through the walk in shower which was a bit odd, if someone was in the shower you couldn't...
