"Great hotel overall! The only downside is the parking. There is no on-site parking, so you have to use a nearby public garage. This can be especially challenging if you’re traveling with children, a stroller, or a lot of luggage, since you’ll need to carry everything from the garage to the hotel. Other than that inconvenience, we had a great stay."

"The lication is great, the staff was very nice. For breakfast they were efficient but at the times we went it was always very full. Part of the reason we booked it, was the thinking we could relax after a day out in the pool. As where there is a pool, finding a lounger is like winning the lottery. We had a room with a balcony, overlooking a busy road, so as it is a balcony it's not really usable. As well the hotel is advertised with free wifi and pool, but once you are there you pay your daily...

"I rated 4 star instead of 5 for one reason, the size of the bathroom was too small. The room was large, in great condition, and spacious. The amenities were nice and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. The staff was very helpful. However the both the toilet and shower took away from the comfort."

"Great location and the team there were great. If you want a reasonably priced hotel within walking distance to cable cars and buses, with lots of shops and restaurant options this is it. My only comment would be it’s a bit dated but spotlessly clean. We arrived with big cases and the lift situation is a nuisance but doable! All together a great stay and San Francisco was amazing!"

"The Evergreen is a jewel. Small, modern, comfy and overall clean. We especially appreciated the quietness. Our bed was comfortable. They don’t offer breakfast but our room had a Nespresso machine and the lobby has one also, as well as a flavored water machine. There is also a Peet’s coffee shop right by them. On the negative side, we did have trouble navigating to and from I think because of their location or perhaps because we aren’t familiar with the San Francisco area. The shower temperature...

"Great stay and location. Staff are as friendly as they get paid for (bit doing anything extra friendly for free lol which is fine) and at some point the fire alarm went off but no one made sure everyone was out. They just closed the door (not lock) where the elevator was. I took the elevator and then exited out the emergency door loool but I didn’t know anything was going on so that was my only gripe. So good for solo travel! Felt safe, all that jazz."
