"Amazing staff(very kind and detailed oriented) and beautifully traditional ryokan that I enjoyed staying here. But the a bit strict about the hours- the entrance door is locked between 12am to 6 am so if you are an avid runner or late night party person, you better not stay here. Also they are quite flexible that they let me to use the library for my business meeting at 5 am in Japanese time(4 pm EST) but there is no business area that you can use at their non working hours(library opens at 8...

"This was our favorite stay in Japan! The staff were the kindest and most helpful people. The room was absolutely gorgeous and so comfortable. We stayed in the river suite (Jitoku) and the sound of the water was so peaceful. The room has an attached private shower/bath, toilet, and sink. There is an onsen available that is private (it can hold up to two people in the same group, you mark it as occupied when you are in there).
