"I’ve stayed here 2-3 times a year for several years. The experience has gotten a little worse each time for the last year or so. This stay will most likely be my last. There are MANY other choices near the Portland airport."

"The property and room were clean. They ended up over booking the 2 queen bed room and we needed 2 so they gave us a third room free instead saying good luck. Very nice and very close to the airport. Has a 24hr shuttle to airport as well!"

"I first went to pony soldier Hotel 11 years ago and it was probably three star. But in the last 11 years it has become rundown. Our room, the sink wouldn’t drain, but very, very slowly, the toilet tissue holder broke while we were there, and the place didn’t smell good. Breakfast was OK but boring. And the dog potting area was downstairs and inconvenient."

"The property looks nice from the outside. The lobby and main areas were clean and looked good. However the actual room was in desperate need of a remodel. Carpet was severely dated, had stains and sticky areas and spots where it was pulling up. Bed and bathroom were clean. Parking is not included in the nightly rate which is ridiculous. Staff was friendly."

"BEWARE - this place is a scam. this place scammed me for $90 after i had to fight to get a refund after realizing it was not safe to stay there. they have a sign in the window that reads: "you must cancel within 10 min of checking in for a refund" and when you go to office window there is nobody there for at least 20 min after you checked in."

"Worst place I’ve everr stayed in my entire life. Also nestled been treated with so much disrespect. Just to start off the manager wouldn’t let me check in cuz he thought I was a prosituite and tried to agree with me and say that I’ve stayed at his motel before. Ended getting an apology for that. But then he went on to say if I work the streets he would kick me out immediately. He likes to lurk in your window and see who’s in your place this place is ridiculous can’t have anyone at all over after...

"We got to the place to check in and were told they do not offer double beds and now that we are checking out they tell us they have a bunk bed room available for $70 which is more than the $55 room."

"Very easy to check in, the room was clean and cozy, the common areas were also very cozy and well-stocked with everything you could need, especially the kitchen. The restaurant next door was a bit loud at peak time of the evening, but that quieted down by the time we wanted to sleep and from then on it was nice and quiet. No complaints, will be coming back here again! Oh, and parking can be difficult to find in the middle of the day, but it really wasn’t THAT had to find a parking spot, just had...

"Great location. We didn’t need to go to airport but noticed that the shuttle was ready. The front desk coffee station is handy. Staff were super friendly. The only issue we had was the noise during the stay: not from the traffic or the airport, but the upper floor. The movement of the upper floor during midnight at 2am was very loud."

"I’m not a fan of having to pay to park for an overnight stay."
