"We stayed at the hotel for three nights and had breakfast there each morning. The price for the stay was very good compared to Edinburgh prices. The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly. The rooms were clean, and it’s a great base for trips to Edinburgh because you can get there by Ember bus for just £4 (December 2025). I definitely recommend it and would stay again if I have the chance."

"Fantastic stay aboard Fingal - warm welcome on arrival, beautiful room and amenities with some Scottish favourites of Fudge and Tunnocks in the room. All facilities were great. We had dinner in the Lighthouse restaurant and this was a great experience. Breakfast was a la carte and had a great range of choices for all palates. No rush and the service was second to none. "Location was great for walking distance to everything we wanted to go to. Hotel was clean and really lovely. Stayed with our 10 month old, all staff were so accommodating to us with her.
