"The hotel is very close to RHS Wisley, which is why we booked it. The staff (Nicholas, in particular) and others were very welcoming and helpful. The inn is historically interesting and the room we had was a four poster and very large. Everything was clean and tidy. There was a kettle, an electric fan and a heater, TV. However, ameneties other than a shower/body wash were lacking. No shower cap or sachets of moisturiser/hand soap provided. The bed was large and OK for one night. We had a meal...

"I loved this place. When I go to England, I enjoy these smaller, transformed hotels much more than bigger ones and Hand and Spear has been the best. The room I got was spacious with ample wardrobe space and beautiful decor. The bath was insane with a beautiful claw foot tub. I’m very self-sufficient when I travel so I don’t expect a room made up each day but I’m sure they would accommodate you and they quickly brought extra towels when I asked. The thing is…my room had food and a little fridge...

"We stayed at Thatcher’s Hotel (part of Surya Hotels) for three nights during half term. Overall, it’s an average hotel but offers good value for money. The rooms have been renovated and are modern and comfortable, and the beds were very comfortable which we appreciated. However, there were a few downsides.
