Stones River National Battlefield is such a cool place to visit. The forests are full of rocky alcoves, perfect for providing camo for advancing troops, yet very dangerous to traverse. It's amazing to think that the beautiful, peaceful fields were once the scene of bloody Civil War battles.

"We loved this place so much! The riverside balcony was my favorite place to sit in the mornings and evenings. Cute little groundhogs scurried around on the ground, and I even saw a few raccoons. They were fun to watch and did not cause any harm. The condo was spotless! I simply cannot say enough good things about it. We will be back! I do have 2 wishes: 1) There were 2 coffee makers but both took pods. I wish one had been a traditional coffee maker because my husband drinks LOTS of coffee each...
