"Beautiful place"

"Train station being close is about the only good thing this place has to offer. You have to make it past the bar with a bunch of rowdy drunks talking trash to you just to check in. Whoever took the pictures for this place deserves a raise. The room is tiny. The mattress is old. The bathroom is gross. The carpet is gross. "Nice basic hotel rooms above a pub close to city, small but secured (locked at night) car park, rooms are separate to the pub via a lift, I didn’t try the breakfast but it smelt great. My second time here and it served its purpose well, will definitely stay again if the price is right"

"Clean, polite staff and well located, but lack of parking is a setback. Pool is dated and craving for renovation. Pool is in a different building across the road which is a university sports centre; not stated when booking. No towels provided at the pool. So make sure u get a towel from the room if you are staying at the hotel. "

"Breakfast was Ok as expected when served up in food warmer as a buffet breakfast usually warm or cold stayed once and freshly cooked breakfast to order was served and it was excellent. Room really nice but could not get jacuzzi to work. Plenty off parking. And Staff are excellent at what they do and promptly sort out any lssues. Especially the gentleman who greats you as you walk in for breakfast. "

A simple word to go online to enter my car registration would have cost me £8 p/day. Instead, a month later, just before my son’s 16th birthday, I received THREE £60 late payment fines.
