"A lovely friendly welcome from Michael at reception. All the staff were great. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. "AVOID THE HOTEL VERSION OF A SUPERMARKET SELF SERVICE TILL. No staff AT ALL on site. You’re sent a code to get in. The room was horrid. Broken bed, rips in curtain. "Mixed stay. When we arrived we had the premium room furtherest from reception and the key cards didn't work so we had to walk all the way back. The room was very hot making it uncomfortable to hang around in, especially since there was only a small fan. "Overall, our stay was okay, but there were a few disappointing aspects that took the shine off what should have been a straightforward overnight stay. Before booking, we asked about checking in early because we were attending a wedding and our coach was leaving at 11am. "I don’t know how this hotel isn’t a health and safety violation in itself. Don’t get me wrong, for £50 a night I wasn’t expecting luxury, but the condition of the place was shocking. There were four separate groups of us staying there, and every single room had a large patch of mould growing above the headboard, which was quite horrifying. The taps and sinks were barely attached, our bathtub had a hole in it, and the guests next door had their door constantly open, with a strong smell of weed...

"The rooms were small but perfectly adequate. The rooms were not air conditioned and as we were there on one of the hottest weekends of the year the room was very hot overnight. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay."

"Excellent stay at the Briarcroft Hotel. We needed a place near the wedding venue we attended and this was right on the doorstep. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the staff were very attentive when needed. The continental breakfast was very nice, orange juice, cereal, toast. Parking right outside the hotel. Everything we needed was right there including local shops, bars and restaurants. We will definitely use this place again"

"The barn was a lovely place to stay. The weather was very hot so the air conditioning was brilliant and meant an excellent nights sleep. It is in the centre of the village and an easy walk to the Crown pub and Berts Barrow a local wedding venue. Breakfast was also lovely- couldn’t fault it!"
