It should not be an option to sleep directly next to stranger. I thought I booked the pods but got a room and it was awful. If I didn’t arrive at midnight I would’ve left and went to a hotel"

"The hotel only offers self check-in, which only works if they remembered to send their welcome email, which they didn’t. They didn’t send to a number of guests all of who had to stand inline waiting to call them to send the information for self check-in. The room and bath were clean. There wasn’t any staff."

"This was a great spot to stay for a short layover. The staff was helpful and easy to communicate with before I arrived. It was easy to make arrangements to store my luggage before check in. They added breakfast to my stay as a courtesy. It may not have been the most luxurious hotel but it was clean and quiet. The showers were hot and refreshing after an exhausting day. And the convenience of staying steps away from the airport for an early morning flight is priceless."

"Lovely stay the first night of travel and very close to the blue lagoon. The stay far exceeded my expectation and the breakfast bar was the best I’ve ever had. They even called to inform us of a left behind item. 10/10 stay and staff were amazing! Thanks again!"

"This property doubles as a long-term parking lot for airport travelers and is surrounded by cars with very limited parking for hotel guests, especially for larger vehicles. Building was definitely not designed as a hotel and the converted guest rooms are very bare bones. More of a hostel feel than hotel. Very overpriced for what you get. We ended up rebooking somewhere else."

"I was warmly greeted & assisted to my room. Generously offered coffee, tea or cereal breakfast. The room was comfortable & in a great walking location, close to the ocean. (Only downfall was that I was looking forward to a sauna or hot tub soak, but sauna is now a storage shed & hot tub was being emptied). The shuttle service to get to the airport was good value for price, as I took bus & walked 1.3 kms from bus stop to get to the property."

"Room was clean, street parking was easy, provided snacks were a nice and useful touch after a long drive. Honestly the hardest part was accessing the check-in instructions as a PDF through the Expedia app. This is mostly an issue with Expedia, but an interim fix could be to provide the room number and cide as a text message rather than PDF within Expedia."

"I booked the hotel because it had an airport shuttle.. we waited a long time for pickup and then were told there was a charge to go back. When we got to the lobby at 7 am as instructed no shuttle, no one at the front desk, ended up calling a taxi. The hotel is rundown, the bed was terrible, lumpy, one pillow provided, no soap. And it was very expensive!"

"We decided to stay at the Courtyard by the airport on our last night before leaving Iceland. This was the best decision. The hotel is very close to the airport and offers a shuttle service. Seeing how the drive from Reykjavik is at least 40 min (if not more) we are glad we stayed close by for a relaxing evening and less rush in the morning. "Our stay was great. The kids loved the place, and were sad we only stayed 1 night (8 and 10 years old). Check in was so easy, and the place is lovely, clean and warm."
