"There is no better place to stay in Kyoto. The location is SUPERB. The hotel is the most magical place. If all of that was not enough, Yuriko at the the concierge desk provides the most exceptional level of service I have ever encountered. Stay there just for the concierge services. "We had an authentic Japanese experience staying here. The location was perfect - the house was on a quiet street while still being very close to the main attractions in the Gion area. The interior was beautiful, clean and well insulated with heated floors and AC in each room. Beds were very comfortable and the upstairs living offered a lovely veiw of the Yasaka Pagoda. "Great host and communication. The house is cozy and it had everything we needed. The air conditioning was great in the Japanese heatwave. In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes.
However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though.
The only real issue is that the property is not very accessible: the closest bust stop is about 15 min away and...

There was plenty of Shopping / Dining a few yards from our door. 駐車場がないこと（周辺は高い）点が何点と言えば難点ですが、六波羅蜜寺、清水に近く朝の散歩はこの立地ならではのところです。
町屋なのでサイズ感などは昔の家屋ですので入口などは狭く感じるかもしれないです。お風呂も広々、キッチンもついていて犬連れ旅にはもってこいのところでした"
