São Francisco Xavier hotel guide. SANA Hotels hotel in São Francisco Xavier, Lisbon

The staff were awesome, they can’t do enough for you. We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is located outside of downtown Lisbon and the hotel put on a complimentary shuttle bus, which saves a bus, metro or taxi fare. The hotel is very close by a metro station though.

Only stayed one night but was very happy. Beds were very comfortable, good shower, strong wifi connection throughout the hotel. Great breakfast with plenty of choice and nicely cooked. 3 min walk to both metro and overland trains (eg to Sintra) and 5 min walk to Lisbon Zoo. Only thing we didn't like was lack of free tea/coffee in the room, otherwise couldn't fault this hotel at all.

Nice hotel in a convenient location with Metro stations nearby.

Staying at the Pestana Palace is one of the great pleasures of life. Although it is 15-20 minutes away from downtown Rossio / Chiado by taxi, its location high on hill by the bridge is great. Belem is an easy (downhill) walk away really. The hotel itself is magnificent - a Belle Epoque palace with formal state rooms with two modern wings attached it, and all encircling a wonderful semi-tropical garden with a lovely pool and spa in it. The staff are unfailingly attentive and charming, the...

The aim was to have a relaxed, calm break and we got that from the wonderful country, hotel, food and weather! The hotel is close enough to Lisbon (20 minutes by train which was roughly €3 return) but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful surroundings! The staff were wonderful and could not do enough to accommodate all our needs. Small tip, make sure to visit the local restaurants, we dined as the tavern (Portuguese), Italian and Japanese restaurants and they were so enjoyable! The sushi...

Convenient for walking to all the typical tourist places.

Great location for Airport - lovely room and delicious breakfast.

The hotel is situated very close to the metro station of Sao sebastiao metro station which is an easy connection to and from the airport and a short hop to the city centre, get of at restauradores station. Tip - When exiting Sao sebastiao station go left once you are through the exit barriers and then turn left again for the exit, you will be about 50 yards from the hotel. The hotel is in a quiet are and is very tidy inside with a 24 hour reception and a small bar. The rooms are adequate in size...

Hotel is basic, no tv or tea or coffee in room. But tea and coffee next to lifts. And kids don’t watch the tv anyway. Hotel location for great for us for exploring Lisbon and getting train to cascais, which was worth the visit. I would stay here again if in Lisbon

Great hotel. Super location, really helpful and friendly staff. Would highly recommend

Last minute trip to visit daughter in hospital after an accident. Over the Christmas and new year. One waitress Diane was lovely and served up for 7 of our 9 night stay. Train and bus station near by zoo near by lots of little local cafe. Shopping centre a 10 min taxi ride. Taxi plentiful and reasonable price.

Amazing, staff couldnt do enough for you. Nothing felt like any trouble. Love room and brilliant breakfast buffet

From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Attentive, knowledgeable Reception staff - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in a One Bedroom Suite within the Convent area of the hotel. Beautifully appointed room - spacious, stylish & practical. Stunning hotel grounds & pool area. Amazing how the new and old parts of the hotel have been designed to complement one another. Both restaurants in the hotel were fantastic- we ate in both & had breakfast - would highly recommend...

Went for an old boys' weekend, we always try and choose a good hotel with plenty of facilities. This hotel is reasonably well situated but not as near the centre of Lisbon as we had thought. It looks like a typical concrete monstrosity from the outside but is however very clean and modern with very friendly and efficient staff. We spent some time at the rooftop bar! A good bar with excellent bar staff!! The only moan is that the so called swimming pool is really only for a dip and there are no...

Fantastic location if you don’t like to be in the crowds. Easy walk to the coast. Rooms small but Cosy. Great breakfast and staff wonderful. Highly recommend.

Great location for seeing the city and getting around, good transportation links. very attentive staff and loved the little things like water and coffee at reception and the room fridge with some free drinks after a long hot day exploring the city. Bar and restaurant were also a lovely addition to the experience

This was a truly fabulous hotel right in the middle of everything you could need from Lisbon. The staff were amazing and we particularly loved the pianist each night between 7:00 and 8:00. Top class service all round.
