"Wonderful staff, easy check in, comfortable rooms, great location. Breakfast was amazing every day!"

"very nice and spacious. floors creaked"

"Comfy room in a great location "

"l'hébergement est très bien situé pour découvrir Porto et la proximité du métro de la gare de Sao Bento facilite l'accès avec des bagages . Nous n'avions pas le n° de chambre à notre arrivée et le contact a été très réactif pour nous informer. La chambre était très propre et bien équipée pour le coin kitchenette. Les petites attentions pour nous souhaiter la bienvenue (bouteille de vin, biscuits) ont été appréciées. Nous reviendrions sans hésiter pour un futur séjour à Porto."

"It was a very handy location, just steps down the street from Sao Bento, right next to a Spar convenience store and the Porto cathedral. The hallways and the rooms are very well maintained, well lit and feels safe. There could have been more cooking utensils but we had what we needed - a fridge, plenty of eating utensils and excellently maintained bathroom, beds and sitting areas in our triple room."

"The location is prefect! We walked all around Porto and I can’t imagine a better location to everything. The view of the river and bridge out our balcony was a delight and even with the hustle and bustle once the windows were closed it was as quite quiet. The staff were so helpful and gave us references and information with all that we needed during our stay. I would definitely stay again if in Porto."

"Clean room and nice breakfast to start the day."

"This was a delightful guesthouse in a great location. Each room is themed to a classic movie and director (we were on the top floor in the Vertigo room!) and the rooms are comfortable and clean. If you don’t mind climbing stairs, the view is amazing."

"Very nice but we didn’t understand that the kitchen was separate"

"We loved our stay at The Cale Guest House! We enjoyed the most warm welcome, the staff was amazing, even through communication prior to our arrival, the accommodations were comfortable and spacious, the amenities and little touches were very nice, and the breakfast was awesome! Highly recommend and would definitely go back!"

"Clean convenient great staff"

"Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wirklich super! Sind sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft gewesen. Alles fußläufig gut erreichbar, sonst alternativ mit der naheliegenden Metrostation. Personal sehr hilfsbereit und super lieb, zu jeder Zeit ansprechbar. Zimmer vollkommen ausreichend, gemütlich eingerichtet und sauber."

"Very old and beautiful building (well maintenance shown) very good location, walkable to the points of interest in a hilly town!! Good public transportation in front of the building, cheap taxis, don’t forget to ride the “tranvías” specially route 18 to see the sunset in the Atlantic Ocean"

"I am genuinely shocked by the score of this place. It is well-located and the building looks cool from outside but apart from these we were not satisfied at all. The door of our room was so thin we could here every step inside the building. The bathroom was smelly, covered with a half transparent wall. When we arrived at breakfast room at 9 (it is open 8 to 10) even already limited food options were already gone. The worst of all, when we check out we asked to leave our luggage for a few hours....

"We stayed for a few nights, but found the property in terrible shape . The floor was broken, and the tiles came out, which was covered by a carpet in one of the rooms. My kids and my wife got injured while stepping onto the floor. They also provided breakfast very late and did not accommodate our request to have it earlier. The breakfast started at 8 AM, but we started our day earlier than that to cover most of the city however, they did not even entertain our request to have breakfast 15 or 30...

"Everything about this location was fantastic!! The room was spacious and beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect!"
