"I’ve stayed at Ocean Gate Inn several times when visiting my son at UCSC, and the staff has always been kind and professional. One thing I really appreciate is how they go above and beyond — I’ve arrived as late as 1 a.m., and they’ve called to make sure I was still coming, which shows great customer service. "Good location, main road has restaurants across street and straight path to wharf or boardwalk. Very clean rooms. TV channels work. Shampoo provided in shower. Desk lady is highly friendly and nice, quite reasonable too. AC works. Minifridge available with microwave. Down sides: shower head is fixed not a hose, large shower is spacious sliding door though. Metal box under beds is annoyin at times if you accidently kick it getting in out of bed. Outside the railing walk ways are packed around the...

"The front desk agent was very nice. The room was amazing! I felt like royalty when I entered the room. It was beautiful. Very clean! We weren't able to stay for breakfast because we had to leave very early. The next time I'm in town, I will definitely stay here again."
