"It was in a quiet location with clean room and a good breakfast. It only seems a bit old."

"We arrived hoping for a simple rest before an early flight, but the experience was disappointing. The front desk refused early check-in, which set the tone. Our room’s AC didn’t work, and there was no phone in the room, so we had to go down to the lobby to report it—twice—before anything was done. We were finally moved to a different room around midnight. With a 4:00 am airport departure, we barely slept. For the price, basic comforts and responsive service should be a given. Would not stay here...

"ALERT! Manager will try to deny this review as he said to us when leaving - THE POOL. Nice view and pool but we had to get our own towels from a bag. We had to clean chairs off of food/cigs & towels after waiting patiently for help. The one pool employee was never proactive. Also BEWARE, the hotel rents out the pool to outside parties so you may be left without anywhere to sit or get service which happened to us on July 21st. THE ROOM, is in high need of renovations. Dirty, bugs, ants...

"The rooms were very clean, plenty of lighting, storage space, & the pillows are amazing. The breakfast was really good & had plenty of variety. The spa & pool were excellent, especially due to the heat. The staff was kind and helpful each day."

"A beautiful property. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Great value for money and would recommend. It was a shame the bar wasn’t open earlier and it would have been nice to have a coffee during the day, maybe reception staff could have done this? A little far out from the centre but of you are happy to walk 40 mins or so not a problem. Bus was also available but couldn’t work out how to pay for that without paying double on the bus!"

"Great location, only a few minutes walk from both the Duomo and Santa Maria Novela train station. Simple continental breakfast but does the job. Staff were attentive and helpful. The room was nice for us as day travelers. If you’re doing a short trip to Florence, I would highly recommend this hotel. Also fantastic restaurant just next door with very good wait staff and DELICIOUS food"

Unfortunately, the rooftop bar experience overshadowed an otherwise excellent stay. We paid €50 for the upgrade package, advertised as 2 rounds of 2 drinks. "We booked 3 rooms. All were give mineral water on the first day only. Second and third day... no more water. We call front office, they give us on 2nd day. On the 3rd day - we called and they put us on hold for quite some time.... we hung up the phone. I am thinking - only mineral water... "
