"Lovely accommodating owners of the guest house. Nice room and bathroom. Area to sit downstairs and watch the TV, which was lovely. Surrounded by nice walks and a local pub. Breakfast was also nice. I cannot fault the place."

"Pub and Barn were lovely. We had a barn room and it was small but beautifully appointed. The coffee machine was a real bonus as was the homemade shortbread. The velux window was a bit of a challenge to open and close. Breakfast was very nice with really friendly helpful staff, checkout was also friendly and straightforward. This was in contrast to check in, (e.g. we were told they didn't want us mithering the cleaning staff, as if we would) lunch and evening meal. The food was nice enough but...

"Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here."

"Lovely people and delicious food. Bar was very friendly. Spacious room (#5) and big and comfortable bed. No internet in bedroom (think it was faulty as it showed a signal) but OK in bar. Water pressure in room #5 very poor but clean a pleasant bathroom. No mobile service but that is obviously not The Maypole’s fault!"

"I had a really happy night in Grassington Lodge . The room was spacious , with a sofa plus table and chairs. Clear instructions were sent to me about how to access my room. I was left real milk for my drinks and the bed was ultra comfy. Everything looked clean and pristine. The pubs, shops and walks are minutes away too so not having food available isn’t inconvenient. Especially if you like exploring. It’s a perfect place to stay. "

"We stayed for one night, June 2025, I wish it had been longer! From start to finish, everything about our stay was lovely. Picturesque building in a beautiful setting. Plenty of room in the private car-park. The staff could not have been friendlier. We ate an evening meal in the pub and it was really lovely. "Clean, comfortable rooms but quite cosy. The pub is on the busy A65, so it can be quite noisy, even at the back. Very little choice for vegetarians/vegans, especially if you don't like fake meat. Although the kitchen did agree to do the mushroom salad which is normally only on the lunchtime menu for dinner, which was nice. Some fruit at breakfast would have been nice, but there was tasty bread. "
