"The room was very well proportioned, very clean and had a lovely ensuite. It was on the fourth floor but had a small lift which made access very easy. The staff were very helpful and the English breakfast was excellent. The location in the center of the town made it very easy to access the shopping areas and the Peoples Park nearby was very pleasant and easy to walk to. "Beautiful grounds, historic buildings and a well appointed and equipped spa helped us enjoy a luxurious and relaxing mini break. The full vegetarian breakfast was delicious and really well cooked - a nice bonus to have this included for a minimal extra charge. Tracy at breakfast and Gino in the evening were stand out members of staff but everyone we encountered was as helpful and friendly. Beth & Damon on reception gave us a warm welcome. "

The quality of the food was something you expect to find in top restaurants. Pub style garden with lots of comfy seating and class. Location was perfect, we will 100% be going back. "

"Fab hotel with really friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing - plenty of choice. An old building with wonky floors, which can’t be helped. Really comfy bed and good shower. WiFi could do with an upgrade as it’s a little slow and the rooms could do with a few minor paint touch ups but overall great value for money."
