"Great hotel! Room and hotel clean, helpful staff, really good breakfast. I think the volume of the music in the hall is too high but you can’t hear it in the room so it’s ok. Position really good, next to Marble Arch underground."

"Great location and great for families. We had a king bed and sofa bed for two adults and two children (10 and 6) Worth ringing reception if wanting to book the spa/swimming as online was showing fully booked but when I spoke to them they managed to book us a slot which is for 30 minutes. The only downside of is was the spa wasn’t working and this hadn’t been shown anyway prior to booking. Worth adding breakfast at time of booking. Wonderful stay and would book again."

"One of our two rooms didn’t have any area to section off our luggage. There was no way to access front desk via hotel telephone. This place felt like paying for a hotel experience and instead receiving a hostel experience. Yes, the hotel is very nicely designed but the basic room upkeep does not match. I should have someone coming to the room to make sure there’s soap in my bathroom when there was none for my time there, the trash wasn’t taken out so I would have to try and find a trash can in the lobby (there was one) to throw away simple things because no one came to empty out the can until my second to last day did I receive a cleaning service. "

"Our waitress highly recommended the French toast. when it arrived, it was ONE slice. The person who received it told the waitress he was still hungry.. She shrugged it off. We had to ask for a refill of coffee 3 times to three different people. When it finally arrived we were finished eating so we had a few sips of it. I was treating an ex-Ambassador and his wife to breakfast. It was embarrassing. However, I did not want to argue the charge in front of them. It was 21.99 pounds for the cofee. Almost $30 for the refill."

"Booked a room as a treat for my mums 60th. Can not fault the room or the wider hotel in general, a rare place that is truly special and worth the price (unlike some other hotels in London cough cough The Ritz). Staff are incredibly helpful and the free welcome drinks and little touches such as a mini birthday cake in the room really make it special. I would say some of the cocktails in the bar are hit and miss considering most are £25. The negroni is one of the best I’ve ever had but others just taste like ones I’ve had at much cheaper places. Very minor but the shampoo bottles in the bathroom are not plastic and made of ceramic, if you drop one and it lands on your foot it could do some damage, Like what nearly happened to my mum. All in all well worth the price and really deserves its reputation as one of the best hotels in the world."
