"As this was our first visit to Japan, we wanted to find a hotel that was close to the train station and had fairly large rooms. Daiichi Hotel Tokyo was the best choice for us! We are a family of four and needed two rooms close together, if possible. When we checked in, the front desk staff gave us two rooms that were connected. This was perfect for us! The hotel staff was so accommodating and nice. The rooms/bathrooms were clean, spacious and so comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and located very close to the Shimbashi Station and to many restaurants and shops. There are also several Konbinis (convenience stores) in the area and several restaurants within the hotel. Unfortunately, due to our busy itinerary, we didn't get a chance to try any of the restaurants.
The only problem we had was with the elevators. We were located on floor 9 of 21. Each morning when leaving our room, the elevators were always full when it reached our floor. We needed to wait several minutes for an elevator with space for our family. There is only one set of elevators for guests and one of the elevators was being repaired. However, this was only a minor inconvenience, which did not lower my opinion of the hotel and it's staff. I would highly recommend Daiichi Hotel Tokyo for your future Tokyo visit."
