"Do not let them put you in room 253 (room with a view and fridge) if you do not want to be woken up at 6am to body slamming like noises until 10am. The breakfast area is right above the room and it’s very loud. They never gave us a warning which I feel is taking advantage of people. If we would have known we would have booked the cheaper room or asked to be moved."

"Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better."

"The place was clean (except for dirty window ac unit) and maintained well as can be expected for a hotel built in the 60’s. Very outdated and not worth the money."

"We've stayed in the Tillie House for several years and it has always been a pleasure until last year. Previously therooms seemed clean but either there were NO Tvs in the room or they didn't work. I got a bunch of run around when asked about it. This year we gave them another chance. "I was there 5 days and they never cleaned the room. They never made the bed! While the room appeared clean when I checked in I later found that the floor was quite dirty because the bottom of my white socks weren't white anymore. They knocked on my door a couple mornings and asked if I needed anything. I asked them to empty the garbage can and give me a towel. Its in a convenient spot just a mile or so from town. There's several fast food places, Walmart, Dairy Queen, etc very close by. ...
