It lacked any bathroom counter space (I think they should really think about placement of stuff, try some floating shelves in there that would make a huge difference). "Walking distance to everything downtown, cozy comfortable clean rooms. Parking lot has enough spaces but it's kind of tight driving through with a pickup truck. If you're on the second floor, you have to carry everything up the stairs."

"The Quail is quaint and charming! The restaurant is excellent with sterling service. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. Plus the 9 hole putting green on campus is fun to play. And the complementary slippers are a nice touch!"

"Kind owners/keepers, overall clean property, just minor issues with left over tape on the wall from what I imagine decorations that were there previously, some dirt smudges on the paint around window and coffee maker did not work. Still fine for an overnight stay, quiet overall and safe location. Comfortable beds, but too high for little ones as there is hard floor and the beds are higher than normal. Good location."

"Das Hotel war für drei Tage in Ordnung. Das Zimmer hat immer etwas chemisch gerochen und der Geruch ging auch nicht weg. Es gab recht wenig große Parkplätze, viele wurden für Compact Autos reserviert (es gab nur zwei Truck Parkplätze). Das Hotel liegt direkt gegenüber einer kleinen Mall mit Restaurants und einem Wholefoods. Man kann innerhalb von 30 Minuten zu Fuß ins Zentrum von Monterey laufen."

"Great location; easy to get to downtown Monterey, and to Carmel, Highway 1, Point Lobos, Big Sur, etc. There is a Trader Joe's 2 blocks away and many services close by. The room was clean and nicely decorated, with a large comfortable bed. The room was small, but pleasant and had everything we needed, including a small refrigerator. The down sides were: Rooms are NOT well insulated. We heard the people walking around in the room above ours, and up and down the stairs next to our room,...
