"You'd better keep all of your valuables in the safe!!! I found the house keeping staff stealing money. I hid all of my Canadian bills rolled in a scarf and tucked away in the bottom of my backpack in the closet. When my daughter and I returned to our room, we found the housekeeping staff coming around my daughter's bed from the direction of the closet. She went to grab couple of pillows off the foot of my daughter's bed and dropped bunch of Canadian $20's and $5 bills. She grabbed them and gave them to me and when asked she said "they are yours" Since my daughter did not bring any Canadian money with her, I grabbed the backpack out of the closet. My scarf has been tampered with and total of $100 was missing the exact $100 that supposedly fell off my daughter's bed who did not bring any money with her.
We reported this incident to the hotel concierge and filed an incident report and the security personnel was involved. The next day, I was told that the house keeping staff denied having stolen the money. I was told that she will not be cleaning our room and she'll be assigned to another area. After, I felt so unsafe and suspicious of all the staff even though they are very friendly and attentive. I had to make sure to lock the patio door and the front door and lock everything up in the safe. This incident certainly marred otherwise a lovely family vacation in a very nice hotel."
