"The property is exactly as advertised. It is a bargain for its location, just 3 blocks from 5th Avenue and from the beach in the very nice and modern Colonia Zazhil-Ha. There are some very nice outdoor spaces, a plunge pool, and the room is well appointed comfortable. There’s a Roku TV, a coffeemaker, refrigerator, hot plate, breakfast bar, AC, even a book shelf with books. when you’re in Playa, you probably won’t spend much time in your room, but it’s nice to have a comfy, affordable option...

"The top pool was always under maintenance, the place conditions can improve 10x within very little budget, internet it is something you cannot count on it. I was working during my stay and it was a big disappointment and hustle for me. On the other hand, it's located in a great area, staff was willing to help but no actions were taken, I had problems with my aircon. Kept dripping water on my eye all night long. Over all it was a Ok experience."

"After booking with hotels.com, upon my arrival I was given a room in this shack of a place in a terrible area that I would not bring my family - the room smelled like feces and was nothing like the pictures. "Our honeymoon at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun was absolutely unforgettable from start to finish. Every part of the experience exceeded our expectations and made us feel truly relaxed, welcomed, and celebrated during such a special time in our lives. The resort itself is stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful and luxurious, and the level of service throughout our stay was exceptional. A special thank you to our concierge, Katya, whose professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made our trip even more memorable. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and always made us feel taken care of. We were also incredibly impressed with the restaurant selection and the quality of the food. Every meal felt like a fine dining experience, with amazing flavors, fresh ingredients, and outstanding service at each restaurant we visited. There was so much variety that every night felt unique and exciting. We left with amazing memories and cannot recommend Secrets Maroma Beach enough for anyone looking for a romantic and truly first-class getaway. We are already looking forward to coming back someday!"

"Very beautiful place with an amazing full time staff! We were not aware upon booking the resort wasnt fully open but the rooms are exactly as pictured... STUNNING I hate my husband couldn't fully utilize the resort so that felt like a waste of money. The train/busses were not properly scheduled so unfortunately we missed our dinner reservations after waiting 30 minutes for it never to show up. Our last night we were told to walk by one driver because he didn't want to drop us at our stop. I was floored by the disrespect and moreover having to walk in pitch black to our room which took about 12 minutes."

"The hotel, grounds, and pools were beautifully maintained. The ocean view room was amazing. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Minimal wait times for drinks and to be seated at restaurants for dinner. Food was very good with many choices. Would definitely recommend!"

Ocean Maya Royale - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"2nd time staying at Ocean Maya Royale. First was 2024 and most recently May 2026. Both stays exceeded my expectations. We arrived around 11am, while we were unable to check in until 3pm, we still had access to the resorts amenities such as the restaurants, bars, pool, beach etc Once we checked in- the room was clean, they accommodated our request for 2 beds and near the pool. The room was nicely decorated with roses and an animal pillow + other amenities ( we checked in via the Privilege room & received these perks ). The fridge was stocked with 4 bottled waters, 2 local canned beers, Pepsi, Orange Fanta & Diet Pepsi. There was a safe in the closet, 2 chairs + a table on the balcony. An umbrella was conveniently in the closet & plenty of storage space. The beach was filled with seaweed and the red flag was up- definitely was not able yo swim this trip to Playa Del Carmen. However - the staff made up for this with service. Everyone was excellent and helpful. The food at the buffet and the A La Carte restaurants were even better than my first visit. Except at Yakasoo- the Japanese restaurant- food was good however as I was enjoying it, so was a fly. This was the only thing that soiled that experience. Staff was notified. Activities included - a nighttime foam party at the pool, sip & paint class, facial massage class, water aerobics etc Special thanks to the lobby bar bartenders- Eduardo & crew! Pool bar bartender- Miguel and crew!the activities team! Gustavo & Lupe"
