"Nice place"

"Room was spacious, great shower. However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in. We ate both nights in the pub. The food is good but very pricey. On our 2nd night we both had a special which was gammon, 1egg, chips, pinapple and piccalily. I pointed out that it said two eggs but we only got one each. The waiter was apologetic but just said it...

"The Haven is situated in an enviable position however the overall impression of the hotel comes across as quite tired and a little dated. The shower was very poor with a weak stream going from hot to cold. We were woken in the morning at 6.30 to the very noisy laundry lorry collecting and dropping off. To add to this our sleep had already been interrupted due to the fire alarm going off at midnight, no fire but unexplained. Staff were polite and dealt with a housekeeping issue efficiently. ...

"Really well situated for the Poole Harbour area. The quay is about a one minute walk and there are many bars and restaurants with a 5 minute walk. The hotel itself is in a charming old property and has a lovely outdoor terrace area for eats and drinks"

"Comfortable, clean rooms and great choice of breakfast made our one night stay very enjoyable. There was a wedding in the hotel on the same day but the staff made sure our room was away from the noise as much as possible. Good location 10 min walk into Bournemouth on a quiet road one street from the sea. Watch out for the extra £10 car park charge though."
