"First time in Malta. Specifically chose this hotel as I wanted accommodation in Valetta close to St John's Cathedral and Valetta Harbour, though Valetta is only 1km x 1km so any accommodation within the city walls would have been sufficient. This hotel is on a very popular street with several restaurants all with tables and chairs in the street and all competing with each other to play the loudest music. This is no unusual in Valetta but it is excessive. Although local signage asks for...

"A quiet place which was well maintained and easy to get to Valletta and the prehistoric site nearby as well as the coast"

"The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The location was excellent for us to explore Valletta and Birgu. The hotel was perfect for us, the pool and garden area were lovely."

"I had a great time at Lemon Tree. The guest house is incredibly beautiful (the pictures are accurate!), the room facilities were slightly basic but all in good working order and everything was spotless and well maintained. But it's the hosting that is where it really comes into its own. Andreina and everyone who works here are the most welcoming of hosts, and the home-cooked breakfast every morning (with many traditional Maltese options) was the absolute highlight! I stated I am pescetarian and...

"To begin with, I arrived at the place; the door was closed, and I did not have the combination code for the building and do. ot the assigned room, never contacted by anyone. I was strolling in the street until a good Maltese Samaritan helped me contact the management using his phone; by the time I went to my room was 11:30 PM. The room service comes every day; they never changed the sheets or replaced the towels."
